After a long wait, Tesla launches in Australia

SYDNEY — In news that will delight tech geeks and Silicon Valley-wannabes Down Under, Tesla officially launched its first electric car in Australia on Tuesday.

The U.S. based company achieved worldwide recognition after producing the Tesla Roadster between 2008 and 2012, the first fully electric sports car, before moving on to the Tesla Model S, X, 3 and the Model D, recently unveiled in the U.S.
