Australia's Prime Minister Tony Abbott may have avoided a leadership spill on Monday morning, but he can't avoid the wrath of what he labels "electronic graffiti" (more widely known as social media).
After the motion to vacate the leadership position was defeated 61 to 39, four of the top five hashtags on Twitter in Australia were related to the political crisis
Despite Abbott's assurances that the "matter is behind us," the people of Twitter have another idea. Four of the hashtags were based on the news of the day, while the lead hashtag sat pretty mocking the policies and profile of the Australian leader. Read more...
