Egypt sets retrial date for jailed Al Jazeera journalists
Egyptian authorities have set a retrial date of Feb. 12 for two jailed Al Jazeera journalists
Baher Mohamed, a producer, and Mohamed Fahmy, Al Jazeera's Cairo bureau chief, have been in jail for 407 days. They were arrested "after being falsely accused of colluding with the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood," Al Jazeera said Sunday in a post announcing the retrial

The news comes one week after Peter Greste, an Al Jazeera journalist who was arrested along with Mohamed and Fahmy, was set free. Greste was deported to Australia after serving exactly 400 days in jail, and has "vowed" to continue fighting to release his two peers whom he considers brothers, according to Al Jazeera.
