Uber teams with 20th Century Fox for free rides to the movies in 50 cities

    LOS ANGELES — Going to the movies is great, but can be such a hassle: You need to find a showtime, buy tickets, drive to the theater and park. If only there were some secret service with the resources to just drop you there.

    Kingsman: The Secret Service and 20th Century Fox are the first to partner with the ride-hailing service for a 50-city screening of the spy thriller that includes a ticket, a free ride to see the film a month ahead of release, and other perks like a shot at a special entrance to the New York premiere. Though Uber has dabbled in premium moviegoing experiences in New York and Los Angeles before, this is its first coordinated, multi-city event through its app. Read more...
