LG's 4K OLED TV can bend on command

    LAS VEGAS — We saw the world's first "bendable" TVs at last year's show, but CES 2015 sees them leap to a new levelLG's first flexible set combines all the top features of today's premium TVs — 4K resolution, OLED tech, and a visual smart TV interface — and throws in the ability to curve on demand.


    The EG9900 is a 77-inch TV with an OLED panel with some special sauce: LG actually puts in an extra subpixel in addition to the usual red, green and blue. The result is improved color, and since the individual pixels can be switched completely on and off individually (unlike an LCD), contrast is excellent (LG claims "infinite"). Read more...
