    LONDON — From shark fin soup to bowls of chopped raw garlic salad, the tastes of the world's most notorious and despotic dictators are weird, extravagant and only occasionally simple



    A new book, Dictators' Dinners, published this week, looks at the dining habits of 26 dictators based on details gathered from the notes and writings of their housekeepers, chefs and those closest to them


    The book features Stalin's penchant for a five-course meal cooked by his chef (who also happened to be Vladimir Putin's grandfather), Gaddafi's camel-milk induced flatulence and Fidel Castro's tendency to give cooking lessons to the nation. Read more...
