Sam Smith thanks 'heartbreaker' after Record of the Year Grammy win
LOS ANGELES — Best New Artist winner and Song of the Year champion Sam Smith shook off strong competition for Record of the Year as "Stay With Me," arguably the ballad of 2014, earned the Grammy in the final category on Sunday night
"I'd like to thank the guy who this song is about; thank you so much for breaking my heart because you got me four Grammys," Smith said in his acceptance speech.
"Stay With Me" defeated "Shake It Off" (Taylor Swift), "Fancy" (Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX), "Chandelier" (Sia), and "All About That Bass" (Meghan Trainor). Read more...
