Grammys: Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me' is your Song of the Year

LOS ANGELES — Sam Smith isn't letting a little controversy rain on his Grammys coronation: "Stay With Me" won Song of the Year on Sunday night, taking the top songwriting honor less than two weeks after he acknowledged its sonic similarities to Tom Petty's "Won't Back Down."

"Stay With Me," on which Smith shares a songwriting credit with James Napier and William Phillips, beat out "All About that Bass," "Chandelier," "Take Me to Church" and "Shake It Off."
