Facebook picks up partners behind 12-year-old design firm that worked on Medium, Prismatic

    Facebook just snapped up the partners behind a company that was founded before the social network even existed


    Three partners from Teehan+Lax, a 12-year-old digital design company based in Toronto, announced in a blog post on Friday that they would be joining Facebook's design team in San Francisco. The firm has worked on designs for Medium, Prismatic and helped with the redesign of Facebook's Atlas project



    "The challenges that we will have at Facebook are challenges that interest us," partners Geoff Teehan, Jon Lax and David Gillis wrote in the announcement. "They are primarily about making things that over a billion people will use … all over the world. The opportunity to work on interesting and meaningful problems at such scale is very compelling."
